I just found this the other day on the trunk of an avocado plant I don't usually notice much. What is it and how do I get rid of it? I have a feeling it's real bad and I don't want it around.
What is the white stuff and what do I do about it?
It looks like a really really bad infestation of meally bugs, But I'm not always correct! meganO
You can also take a sample in a transparent sealed plastic envelope to a local nursery or Agriculture Extension Service in Hondo or San Antonio.
I left out this link: http://www.ipm.ucdavis.edu/PMG/selectnewpest.avocado.html
It shows information on common pests of avocado plants.
in the mean time, get out there with a can of Pam and spray, spray, spray. it looks more like a soft scale to me, but regardless, they need to die right now.
I have some neem oil. Would that be good?
perfect!!!
