Has anybody seen or heard of Mimusops elengii with yellow fruit? Or, will they turn from yellow to red?
Purchased these maybe 5 years ago from Ft. Lauderdale area nursery as M. elengii; now they've been flowering and fruiting. They are in containers. The flowers are very small from what I'd expect; flowers are so far only bb-size. These fruits are quarter-size.
Mimusops elengii with yellow fruit?
There you are! Yes, the fruits turn yellow, but not red. The size you are describing sounds like it may have only one or just a couple of seeds inside the fruit, and that will vary probably when the tree gets more mature.
