I'm THINKING about putting together ANOTHER FALL swap

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

In a month or so, I will be likely be hosting another swap. I would like your ideas and what you would like for this swap. Let me list some possibilities and I would love to hear variations to consider!

1. We pick a theme/color for the swap and we each sew the SAME pattern and color for each partipant. A sample of one swap using this format: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/811417/

2. We each pick our own pattern but sew it in the colors chosen by each participant. example of this: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/880398/

3. We each chose the color and pattern that everyone will send to us. example of this http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/814234/

4. We pick a particular fabric and it must be incorporated into the block pattern. (To my knowledge this has not been done here and the disadvantage is finding a fabric we all have access to but this is possible, especially if we stick with something like "polka dots", "gingham" or other standard fabrics.)

Do we limit to members only? Do we limit the COUNTRIES we will participate with to contain costs? Do we mail DIRECT and cut the expenses of the host? What are your thoughts on the LENGTH of time the swap should span? (From beginning to deadline.) So far we have been working on 12 inch blocks, do we want to change to a different size? If so, do we increase the NUMBER of blocks sent? Speak up folks!!! Let's shape up another swap that meets your needs!
