I live in Cambridge, MA, and have seen flowers of a bush that I just must have. The flowers are white, and they are distinctive because they are somewhat cone shaped, and also look like question marks (minus the dot on the bottom of the curved mark). One flower, at the end of the stalk, looks like a collection of tiny beads grouped together, and all of then are aligned in a parallel fashion. The entire flower is about 3 to 4 inches long. The bush is very handsome; the flowers look like they are standing at attention. The foliage is darkish green, I don't remember the color of the stalk, or bark. I would very much appreciate knowing what this bush is. Thank you.
Identify a bush
Pictures would definitely help with the I.D.! Welcome to NE Gardening too! :-))
That's a great written description, but it's very difficult to picture it all. Could you possibly post a photo of it? And, I welcome you to this group, too!
A picture would definitely help with ID. Also bloom time. Here are some bushes that popped to mind you can check, but a pic will get more answers for you. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/101624/ http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/165539/

The question mark description made me think of Loosestrife....but it's not really a bush.
Yes, I thought of gooseneck loosestrife too.
