Hi, This isn't strictly a poem. It is a sign in a beautiful public garden I visited in Hangzhou, China. Thought the words very expressive !!!

How about an old Pennsylvania Dutch saying in Jarhundert English:

"Throw the cow, over the fence, some hay"!

I like this one:

"A garden that is done, is dead."

So true!
