a new vine that's a "keeper"

Almont, MI

Love a vine called cissus discolor or someone told me rex begonia vine. Mine got a little too much sun over the fourth of July (it got moved so the neighbor could water easy) so the middle of the plant is faded but the new growth since then is sooo pretty. That dark corner of my porch now has another resident besides the streptocarpella.

Oh we love this vine too!! I think we have a pic of it to post(gonna check) Happy Gardening, Terry.

They root really easily, you know. Mine loves the semi shaded area of the greenhouse, dies down for the winter and comes back up in the spring. It's such a lovely vine. I love plants with leaves that are colored like that.

The underside of the leaves are reddish wine color. Just gorgeous. Never saw it to flower, though.

That is a cool vine. I just got back from Hilo Hawaii and saw the vine growing all over..was pretty...I was wondering what it was.
