Coneflowers...how far to plant babies

Page, ND

I have LOTS of babies this summer, waiting to be moved. How far should I plant them from each other?

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

18" apart is fine for me, unless you need to spread them out for the amount of seedlings you have. I do think they like to be close together.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

I agree with Al, 18 to 24 inches should be plenty of space.

Wake Forest, NC(Zone 7b)

Are your seedlings producing dinky little flowers? I waited for the second season but still very small flowers. A packet of Magnus seed is too cheap for me to try using my own plants seeds.

I've always had luck with transplanting a few here and there, I just have so many in one place this summer that I wanted to spread them out over a particular area. Can see just pulling them up. I also took some to my sisters garden.
