Having gone digital recently, I know exactly what you mean. I can't stop. I have a problem, I admit it. LOL

I like how the purple stands out against the yellow foliage. This was from May.

I'm totally hooked; love the digital pics.

I call this one Bride and Groom. The names are incorrect, but these names make me happy because they seem fitting. The plants were given to me and I don't know the true names. LOL.

At first I berated myself for not putting lime on my hydrangeas to make them purple, but I think the blue actually looks quite pleasing with the orange of these daylillies and echinacea.

Kwanjin: Is your Sambucus niger invasive at all? It's gorgeous.

(Zone 7a)

You know, I have no idea. I don't have it in the ground. I've talked to others in my area that do and they say no. You do have to prune it for shape, is what they tell me.

It's so nice to know I'm not the only one filling up my drive with photos of the garden. I do it almost every day. Here's one I love. Phlox and an annual I think is lavatera

Hyperion Daylily with Raspberry Wine Monarda

This is my favorite combo this year. Butterfly weed and Heliotrope 'Fragrant Delight' (which is an annual here).

This combo worked out good too. Marcus salvia and Maya rudbeckia. Marcus is a little more purple than this pic shows. They make a cute couple at the front of this bed.

Velnita: is Marcus salvia perennial or annual? Very pretty combo indeed.

Nilwood, IL(Zone 5b)

Part of the sun garden.

Thumbnail by dragonfly62

Perennial. It's sort of like a miniature 'May Night'.

Adding it to my list already, Velnita. Thank you.
