Aristolochia roxburghiana

St. Paul, MN(Zone 4b)

Hello All.

I thought I would share a pic of my first ever A. roxburghiana (also known as A. tagala, I believe), and Asian species. The flowers have nice attitude and rich colors. I count at least 50 more coming!

That's a way cool flower, Erick! I have tried to germinate roxburghiana (tagala) seeds and have not met with success. I shall try again now that I have seen the end result!

Thank you Joseph. I think the flowers are very cool and well worth the effort. Good luck to you!

I love Aristolochia species flowers. They are totally out of this world from any other flower that is on this earth. I have 2 species and a hybrid going and am patiently awaiting each of their flowers.

Thank you for the inspiration,

Hello All (and especially Joseph!).

I finally managed to catch a good picture of these flowers. It's been a challenge to get the right light, as they tend to bloom well under the foliage. I am thrilled to see 50+ clusters of buds developing. I expect to see flowers until our first frost in early November.
