I have a borrowed view too.The gardener neighbor has walnut trees so grows Hostas, they are very calming and beautifully planted.
Your plants are great.I am going to try to hold an impatien overwinter.

Southeast, MA(Zone 6b)

Lovely garden shots. Your wild corner looks perfectly wonderful to me. Very nice. :)

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

Great pictures and beautiful flowers!

Don't feel bad about the hummers not using your new feeder. I quit using them years ago because I think when you have lots of flowers, the hummers prefer the "real thing" as opposed to an artificial mix.
Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like when there are real flowers around, they'll go after them instead of the liquid in the feeder.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I agree with JD, hummers perfer my flowers over the feeders. Can't really blame them for going for the REAL thing! LOL
I love your "wild" area!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Same with me - especially this year. Aside from the normal perennial plants that they're always into, they really like my annuals this year.

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

Why have Hamburger Helper when you can have Prime Rib or Filet Mignon for the same price?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Maybe i should try HH in the feeder!

Jasper I am blind in one eye and can't warch the birds like I used to.At least when the come to the feeder I can see them.I seem to be able to attract raccoons and squirrels pidgeons etc but the hummers just come to the bergemot.Do they loke daylilies/ I have a garden full of them.JOY

Hummers are attracted to red. I like the antique wrought iron holder.
