Thinking of giving it a try but it seems that it could get a little out of control. Just wondering if anyone has real life experience with it?

Here's another that I think is to tropical for me but I'm getting conflicting info on it.

Many of the clerodendrons can be invasive but I wonder if you couldn't plant it in a huge nursery pot, with the bottom removed, to control, or at least curtail, the runners.

As to the Brazilian Red Cloak, although it resembles one, I am pretty sure it is not a justicia, I wonder why PlantFiles lists it that way.

I would give both a try, GO FOR IT.

A couple of links using Red justicia for the search.

I don't know what's up with plant files on this one. Fla. site is saying something different and I'm also getting conflicting info on cold hardiness probably because everyone isn't talking about the same plant.

I don't know anything about the one in the azarbotetum link but the Odontonema one in the first link grows like a weed around here. Neither of these are justicias.

Although, now that I think about it, the common pink justicia was known as Jacobinia until a few years ago. The taxonomists have been busy changing names and that may explain why so many plants are known by conflicting names.
