FD, those are humongous. Are they really sweet? The festival sounds like something my granddaughter would like. Thanks for the tip.

Watermelons are only the focal point, they have all kinds of games especially for the kids. Its real fun to see those kids in the watermelon shot put, seeing who can throw a Sugar Baby the furthest. They usually have folks in period costume doing blacksmithing, basket weaving, fancy woodwork and the like as well arts and crafts vendors. I am too lazy to participate in the Watermelon Waddle, which is a two mile run to start the festival.
