Clematis x diversifolia 'Blue Boy' is my first clematis, and I know it isn't the typical climbing one. Does anyone know much about this one, or ones like it? I got maybe 6 blooms with it this year (my first full summer with it), and it doesn't look like it is going to produce any more. Is that all this is going to do? Or is there a way to encourage it to bloom more/longer?

Thanks for any help.
Clematis x diversifolia 'Blue Boy'
is it in full sun? i do find that the herbaceous clematis like more sun and also that they really don't bloom a lot till year three...but that is true for most clematis. we just sometimes expect the herbaceous forms to bloom more i think.
if it has enough sun, water and fertilizer.it is just a time factor
