I had decided that since these were all aquatic creatures I would be safe if I stayed on dry land and didn't venture too close to the waters edge.
Then I had this encounter and started changing my mind.
This encounter on dry land made up my mind. I beat feet home.
Two old friends stopped by last night to let me know all was back to normal.
Decided to head down to the river (Klamath) and do a little fishing. When I got there these two were spying on me, but I figured that as slow as they were there was nothing to worry about, but.................
they called in some help, so.....................
I decided to beat feet.

I once again decided to go birding for a couple of days and once again THEY were waiting for me.

But I was wise to them, so they called in re enforcements.

My strategy of staying close to the car so that I could make quick get-a-ways worked and once again THEY were foiled. When I saw this, I felt like I was home in my own yard.
I wish I could have gone with you. Those are some great pictures. You really had fun that day.

Whew!...adel you are so brave to keep risking you life while pursuing your love of birds.
hehe its an otter, just hard to tell the tails fuzzy and round. man they have nice pelts, never felt something soooo smooth.
Resin.......it is a stuffed River Otter mounted on a flat board.
