Perennial MG

Linden, TN

I have a Perennial MG that I purchased off of Ebay. I is currently in a pot... and is growing incredibly long runners... The flowers are deep deep purple and quite pretty, but I noticed that at each leaf, that roots form... and now I am thinking this puppy could maybe be huge trouble if it touched the ground.

I am thinking of just getting rid of it altogether.. We have bindweed already in our area, and I am not too keen on letting this get turned loose..

Hi Carolyn, I assume this is I. indica? If it is then it is not hardy in your area and should be sterile so there wouldn't be any seeds. It'll go rampant during your growing season then be done unless you overwintered cuttings inside.

I don't really know for sure, but I will take a photo of the next blooms....
