Japanese Iris

Ripley, MS

This is my first year to have any of these wonderful plants. I wanted to know if I should cut the bloom stalks back or leave them. I am still keeping them well watered, even with the 95+ temos we are having.
I know there are several of you who grow these and any information would be appreciated,
Sandra

Fortune, thanks- Pirl

Sandra, those iris are just gorgeous. I wish I can grow them where I live. Unfortunatley is too hot and dry but I can dream can't I ?

Oh they are the things that dreams are made of, aren't they--as beautiful of a flower as I have ever seen, of course they are prettier in person. The camera just can't capture the gracefulness they show.

Sandra,

Do cut the bloomstalks right off at the base. Anytime after they bloom.

Thanks Polly, I didn't know what to do--now I do !!!!
