I found these worms on my coreopsis this morning. They are very small and have camoflaged themselves by using bits of petals and dried blooms. Kind of like a bag worm but they just carry the extra bits on their backs.
They were very happy on the coreopsis. I only noticed one because I saw it moving and when I touched it, it draws up and tries to look like an old flower.
I 'think' I have picked them all off. I don't want to spray stuff because I don't want to impact any of my bees.
Any ideas what it is?
Susan

It could be a Camouflaged Looper:

Scroll down a bit and you'll find him.
