Mine are always the single form...I think it's part of the curse of being in the South?...Here is mine to compare...my anthers are lightly yellowish...Jeanne

Thanks for your help ladies - I can't tell you anymore about this clematis cause someone just sent me a photo and asked for help. So of course I thought I would try to help.....

i do not know what zone this clematis is growing in, but it does look like the second, single blooms on proteus. here is a pic of proteus with the earlier fully double blooms..

and here is single proteus near the end of the bloom period with some late john warren blooms in the photo also.
