This is the 1st time I have looked at my Butterfly Bush and found something looking back. Does anyone know what kind of bird this is? How old? and what do I do with it? There are no trees right overhead. It looks like the tail feather aren't developed enough. It's not afraid of me, and not chirping for mom. I finally got it to drink some water but I know less about birds than gardening. Any ideas anyone, it's been there 8 hours already.
What do I do with my new little friend?
Hi Vicki, I'm not sure but if you don't get a positive answer here you might try the

Well, it took some water, and I misted it. I think when it first happened it was in shock, that's why no response. As the day progressed, it started getting a little fiestier. Early evening I went out to see how it was doing, and I saw no sign of it. I thought it could only fly to get from branch to branch, but I looked all over and he was gone. Hopefully back to mama.

That looks like a little Phoebe to me, but I could be wrong....
