Does anyone have a list of plants that do not attract Japanese Beetles? Replacing the plants that are getting decimated is my next plan..........
plants beetles hate
I don't have a list but I can tell you what they aren't going after in my garden. Of course, those plants are in the minority. I haven't picked any off my phlox, veronica, holly bushes, tree peonies, wiegela, summersweet, cranesbill geraniums, knockout roses, astilbe, heuchera, nepeta catmint, delphiniums, russian sage, agastache, yarrow, salvia, spiderwort, baptisia (false indigo), rhodendrons, azaleas, and penstemon. Those of ones that I can think of right away. Haven't had many on the blackeyed susans either. I have loads of beetles in my yard because of my 30 crepe myrtles and of course they are drawn to those but the plants I've mentioned have remained untouched.
Add celosia and dianthus to that list.
