Query about Transplanting Cannas

Columbia, SC

We planted our cannas in the wrong place: they are growing magnificently but are too tall for the location. Is it too late (or early) to risk transplanting these plants in July? Or do i need to wait until they go dormant. I'm not sure of the exact kind, but they have bright yellow/green leaves and yellow flowers.

I would transplant them make sure they get plenty of water.

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

you can transplant now. they'll be in shock for a little bit, but should recuperate just fine. Keep an eye on them for 1-2 weeks, providing water if too wilted. Then, they should do fine on their own.

Columbia, SC

My transplant was successful and the relocated cannas are thriving. But so are the ones left in place; in fact they have multiplied and filled in what I removed. These plants seem to just love the SC heat and sun. They are tough too. I'll move a few more plants this weekend.
