The leaves on this plant have been growing curled for months. I've tried cutting off the curled leaves but it continues to happen. I have it in full FL sun and it does get watered though not soaked. Thoughts or help would be MUCH appreciated!
curled leaves on Firespike
Adrienne, your plant looks pretty healthy to me! I'm no expert (far from that, lol!) but I have heard sometimes leaf curling on otherwise healthy plants could be overfertilizing...are you fertilizing this plant? Just my 2 cents!
Roberta
Roberta! Thanks so much for the input!
Im not fertilizing these...oh well! I live and learn! Thanks!
Adrienne
I don't think you should be too concerned..they look fine! : )
I didn't know the answer, so I didn't post. Simple as that.
However, in rereading this I notice you grow your plant in full sun. We are in a similar climate here, and we grow ours in shade. (I'm zone 9a and you are 9b.)
I think your plant may be getting too much sun. And that could certainly account for curled leaves.
