I bought a bag of 5-10-5 granular fertilizer yesterday. The instructions for applying it are somewhat loose. I was wondering how thick/dense you should apply this fertilizer, especially since my crops are already growing large and strong, and the ground is somewhat hardened over around the plants. Any rules of thumb for this type of fertilizer.
Granular Fertilizer
That analysis is perfect for most vegetables but hard to find in todays market. If you are side dressing , one cup per five foot of row ( max) you can of course use less. It is not fast acting ,so usually it is incorporated into the soil before planting 1 cup per 15 square feet.
