Wild flower

Waynesboro, MS(Zone 8a)

This plant has been blooming for the last 3 weeks along the roadside in south Mississippi
Is it a Rudbeckia, maybe Brown Eyed Susan.
The flower is only 2 inches wide and the plant is multi branched.
We also have a simular plant that blooms in the fall

Looks like it to me, very pretty and they grow wild up here too but are just now getting buds and a few are opening.

I had listed this in the plant files as R.triloba
A member advises that this is not R.triloba
Does anyone know what it really is?

I hope you were able to collect seed from it. I love driving down the road and finding beautiful wildflowers. Unfortunately, I'm never in a position to stop.

We call these "Black Eyed Susans" here. I don't know what the fancy name is for them, but they grow wild here too. I love them!
