Does anyone want to trade pond plants for water hyacinths

Beloit, WI(Zone 5a)

Hi Everyone,I guess I cant really overwinter my water hyacinths,I now have about 35 or so,thanks to my friend who just put more in my pond.Anyhow I hate to see them all go to waste,so if anyone wants to make a trade or even just send me $4.00 shipping costs and I'll send as many in a box as I can Thanks,Rene

Why cant you over winter hyacinths? How do they wind up in the ponds around here if they die with the cold weather?

Louisville, KY(Zone 6a)

Janice you are a lot further south than Rene. I will have to bring mine indoors too. I read today in one of the forums(cant remember which..and I went back and looked for it) that some one was successful overwintering theirs in small bowls in a south window. Maybe they need more than grow light and air circulation??
