Hi, all you coneflower experts - I have a bit of a head-scratcher...
I ordered 6 Double Deckers last year and planted them late last summer. I did get a few blooms before winter on one group of 3, the other group none. Now, I know that they aren't supposed to "double" until the second year, but the ones that bloomed last year didn't double, but the second group grew out 2 pinks, one white -and the white one is double- decked. I didn't even know there *was* a white Double Decker.
I'm a confused pup. Any idea what's up?
