Our new home has two dwarf crape myrtles planted on either side of a regular crape myrtle tree in a front yard bed. Last year there were many leaves and blooms on the dwarfs. However, this year there are hardly any leaves and so far no blooms on them, Any ideas what could be wrong or what I can do to make it healthier? Thanks.
Dwarf Crape Myrtle problems
Have they been fertilized this year? I give mine a decent dose of ferts every year to keep them nice and healthy.
No they haven't. Any suggestions on what I should use? Thanks!
I use worm poo on mine (all the flowers actually) and they are going like gang-busters. Actually, my dynamite is just opening up, boy what a beautiful color.
I get the worm poo in bottles you just hook up to the hose - from HD. It is an organic fertilizer
Hope this helps.
Dee
You could also use Miracle Grow or any regular lawn fertilizer. A little Super Thrive will go a long way too.
Thanks Dee and NL - I will try that and see what happens. I would hate to lose them!
