I am pretty sure this is Rouge Cardinal, but now that I have some older blooms I wanted some more opinions.

here is my rouge cardinal. i have them in several places, and it is turning out to be one of my easiest and most rewarding clematis!

your is beautiiful too! i love rouge cardinal. i have put it in a few problem groupings where plants are weak or bloom period short or few blooms to boost up the display while the young or slower establishing varieties get going. it is a fool proof clematis for me.
and believe me, i have a lot that have not been fool proof!!
