Does anybody know why peas wouldn't flower? In my garden, the peas flowered fine, but in my bf's garden, his peas haven't produced flowers or pods. They have gotten about 5' tall, are healthy, but haven't flowered at all. My first thought was a lack of a nutrient, but his other veggies are flowering out nicely, or producing fruit. So, any guesses? Carrie
Whoops, forgot to add they have plenty of water and sun.

peas not flowering?
If they are 5 feet tall, he probably planted a long season cultivar. Don't know how warm it gets in your part of New York, but summer heat can destroy English, Snap and Snow peas. In either event patience is required.
I thought my peas were never going to produce flowers, because they had just sat for a long time. About a week ago I saw one pea plant with one flower. Today, all peas have many flowers. I agree with being patient.
