Here's my loquat that was planted last Aug/Sept. I don't think it had enough time to get established before winter and by Spring the leaves were looking pretty rough. All the new growth has come out (which looks great), but it has been dropping all the original leaves so now it's looking too leggy and branches too exposed - at least I think so.
I'm wondering about pruning it back to make it bush out, but I've heard contradictory reocmmendations on doing so. I'd like it to have a bushier canopy and it not be so leggy.
What do you think? Help is appreciated.
