(giancarlo) Armando Miro

Armando Miro, known as giancarlo to DG members, passed away June 9, 2008. He will be missed by many here on Dave's Garden. He was always so helpful and willing to share his vast knowledge with others. I've been told that the gardens in the backyard of his Miami home were truly a sight to see.

Armando joined Dave's Garden on Sep 25, 2004, and quickly became a major contributor to PlantFiles. His interests included, but were not limited to, Aroids and Bromeliads. His photos show how much he loved every plant he tended. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/imagesbyuser.php?user=giancarlo

I'm so sorry to hear of Gian's passing..I loved his garden art and creativity.

I send my sympathy to his family and friends. I bet he was so sad to leave his beloved garden. You could tell he loved his plants with a passion. He also took such great photographs of them to share with all of us. I so enjoyed them! He had a good, long life doing what he loved. He was a very nice man. I will surely miss him. Goodbye Armando.
