How many of you have soil testing done on your flower beds?
Where do you get them done?
What does it cost?
SOIL TESTING
Check with your local extension office. They will have soil testing kits available and be able to give information on how to properly set it up. Most times the fees are quite inexpensive.
I test my soil every few years. If your plants are not doing what you expect, do a soil test. In Michigan it cost me $26.00 for two different samples.

How do you find you extension office? What is it under or an extension of?
You can go on the web, here's the state one for OH........you can find your local area in the addresses :

Send an email to the people at this site http://algreatlakes.com/lab_hom_law.asp to see if they do your area. I'm guessing they do. I mailed them a sample, they have very excellent service, and I got back a very nice report. Only $15.
