I bought this plant and it said it was Clematis jackmanii. The blooms don't look at all right. They smell very sweet. What did I buy?

Yikes where did you get it from? Loniceras are usually under 10.00 unless you bought a 5 gallon.
Right, but it was supposed to be a clematis so I got charged the clematis price at Wilco.
Have you contacted them? Maybe they will give you the clematis at no charge for their mistake.
Sure wish I still have the receipt but it's been 7 months. Maybe I will mention it to them and see what they say.
