CLOSED: Who is this fellow?

Fayette, IA(Zone 4b)

Not a regular visitor to our yard, but I've seen a pair of these twice now this year. The thing that struck me most was their manic flight pattern. They'd perch somewhere, fly out 6 feet or less, wheel mid-air and back to perch. Like they kept changing their mind mid-flight. Size-wise, they're about the size of a bluebird, maybe just slightly larger. From pictures, I'm thinking maybe a phoebe?

I believe it is a Phoebe. The "flight pattern" is actually the bird catching bugs. You should hear them say "phoebe" repeatedly at well. They also twitch their tail feathers while perched
on a wire or branch.

Yep, Eastern Phoebe.
