I would like to have some rain barrels around the house, but store bought ones are cost prohibitive. I was wondering if anybody's tried making them from common trash cans? I was thinking about making a spout near the bottom of a rubbermaid can and caulking it in, but I wonder if it will withstand the water pressure w/out leaking. Any ideas?
