They always go for the big fat (apparently tasty) buds! I'm sure it will get eaten the rest of the way tonight. It would have been the first bloom on that clem, too.
What does everyone use for earwig control, anyway?

I have the same problem with those horrible creatures! I've sprinkled Bayer on the ground around the plants this year and so far haven't had any problems....but many of mine aren't in the bud stage yet so time will tell. I'd like to know what other people use too.
