Places in England to recommend to a wild nature-lover..

Gent, Belgium(Zone 8a)

My brother is planning to travel to England in the last week of June.
He's been a couple of times to Cornwall but would like to
visit the 'Lake-district'. .. what other places could be worthwhile visiting (less touristic).. ?
Grateful for any suggestions!

Northumberland, United Kingdom(Zone 9a)

The Farne Islands and the Cheviot Hills in Northumberland. Plenty of castles to visit here too.

Thank you Resin ! Ooohh , I love castles too, specially ruined ones !

Northumberland, United Kingdom(Zone 9a)

Dunstanburgh and Warkworth are must-sees, then!
And Holy Island (ruined Priory, intact castle)

(Zone 8b)

The Yorkshire Dales and Moors

Kissimmee, FL(Zone 9b)

Anywhere in England is great, so much greenery and even better if you can watch a game of cricket on any village green

Thanks a lot for all the great suggestions!

Yorkshire,

I just came across this thread and just wanted to add that your brother would love York, Whitby and some of the smaller towns such as Thirsk and Pickering.
The North East coastline is lovely too, with many interesting places to visit right from Scarborough up to Berwick.
I hope your brother has a fantastic visit.
