Hi, all
Today and Next Sat 9AM - 4pm :
Just got back from a great day at Tom Bruce's Carolina Daylily farm.
Tom Bruce's Carolina Daylilies, 645 Barr Rd., Lexington, SC 29072 (803) 356-4733
http://carolinadaylilies.com/index.htm
He hybridizes seeds, but today (June 7) and next Sat. (June 14) he is selling plants. Not seedlings, but huge plants! You go there and he or his son dig the HUGE clumps right out of the ground - most are $5 or $10 and there are usually at least 2-3 huge plants in the clump.
I picked up:
Brooklyn Twist http://carolinadaylilies.com/08cultivars/brooklyn_twist.htm
Cool Twister http://carolinadaylilies.com/08cultivars/cool_twister.htm
Velvet Beads http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/19503/ (looks darker red in person)
Harley Rushing Huge yellow flowers (Fragrant, too!)
Larry Grace
Moving All Over (could not find links for those 3, will get those later)
Next Sat. 2-4 pm is a tour of the Daylilys at Wingards farm on Hyw 6 (Lake Murray Blvd)
