Beautiful blooms. Mine are almost gone, so it's nice to see someone else's starting. I really like Awesome Blossom.

Dangerous Mood is gorgeous. Is Okapi Poppy really that dusty pink color? I generally see the light pink or the deep wine with very little in between.

Awesome Blossom grows like crazy and is beautiful as well. Here is Toucan Tango, new to me this year.

Okapi Poppy--S=pink F=pink overlaid light lavender

I think this is really Okapi Poppy. The ones in plant files are quite similar:

You may be thinking of Anaconda Love which definitely has some deep wine in it. This one is pink and frilly.

Cherokee Heritage -- from a trade with karmafarm. I believe this really is Cherokee Heritage after reading the description, but my next post will show what it looked like when it first bloomed -- very different.

Cherokee Heritage when it first opened -- same plant.

I just meant that I don't see many iris that are a dark dusty pink color. Most of what I see (around here anyway) is either very pale pink or very dark wine. I wasn't questioning Okapi Poppy, just wondering if the photo was true to color.

Thanks.

pajaritomt: what a show!

Lark ascending is one of my favorites. One you can just stand and look at. I can't imagine a clump of them!

I am a sucker for red beards. red beards on white, peach or lavender.

thanks for the show!

Thanks, Gloria. I love Red Beards, too, on almost anything. Lark Ascending took a long time to bloom for me, but it was worth the wait. Tall and elegant and ruffly.
Now Honky Tonk Blues -- another first in my garden this year.

Great show Betty. If I had to pick I like Dangerous Mood and Naples, but it sure would be hard to pick a favorite.

Thanks, Polly. As you can see, I couldn't pick. Had to have both. I have so many new ones this year that I can hardly sit still, I am so excited.

Your pix are gorgeous! Most of mine are pretty new, so not many blooms yet. But just wait till next year.
