AntispySpider!?! Please help! Online fixes look like traps!

Now it is popping up every minute and challenging my already dubious sanity.

The fixes I find in online searches have ended up being useless -- telling me to remove files that are not there (though I did manage to ID and remove some unrelated malware).

There does seem to be some concensus that it is a Trojan.

Does anyone have experience with this critter and how to exterminate it?

I'll gladly offer a reward of your choice of nice plants to anyone who can save me a trip to the computer shop.
