What's this?

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 9a)

I just found this in an old clump of Louisiana Irises. They are just the garden variety yerllows and pale blue and they bloom here in March.

This surprised me this morning. The color is more of a true royal purple than shows in the picture. Any ideas what it could be?

Well, isn't that strange? I wonder what good fairy dropped that off in my garden. I love it when beautiful things just appear like that.
Thanks
