First bloom today.I like the pink color of this iris,received from a DG member last year.

Great photo, skimper! ^_^ Vanity is one of the most clear pinks I've seen or grown. Many of today's pinks are more on the side of a light peach-toned-pink than a clear pink-pink. Many varieties come close to this color though. Ovation is suppose to be best "pink" - - known for it's true deep pink color.

The one trouble with Vanity (it is hardy here) is the foliage, gets brown. That seems to be a problem with many TB pinks with fine flowers. I'm sure people are working on the problem. Because it is hardy 'Vanity' had been the most popular TB in AIS region 1 for over 25 years.
