newbie with a pest problem

Hixson, TN(Zone 7b)

I've visited this site many times. I love all the information I've gathered, so I'm really happy to be a member of such a great group. I'm in 7b. I'm having a problem with rabbits and chipmunks. Rabbits eat my echinacea and black-eyed susans. Bloodmeal works, but gets easily washed away with rain and irrigation, so I'd like to find another solution. Rabbits or chipmunks (I'm not sure which) are eating my White Gold spirea down to nothing. Does anyone have solutions to these pests? Thanks!

If you have (or perhaps a friend may have) a rose bush--how about surrounding your prized plants with those thorny long stems from rose bushes!

Thanks Snug! Good idea!

My only critter problem has been squirrels eating my iris tubers and a few other things. I sprinkled a little bit of well-used cat litter around the plants, and the problem went away! You might try it. If you don't have cats, one of your neighbors probably does.
