Anyone know of a way to keep caterpillers off of my brugmansia? I pull off at least three a day and they are making a mess out of my plants. Thank you in advance!
caterpillers
Caterpillars in their smaller stages can be eliminated with a Bt product (Green Light Bio-worm Killer, Thuricide are two) with no damage to any beneficial insect or bird. But when they are large, it is not as effective. Then I would recommend a pyrethrin spray, but know that it kills all insects it contacts. The good thing about it is that it doesn't persist in the environment.
Thank you so much for your help. They are small and black, so the product you recommended should work for me. Thanks again
