sunshinesw, thank you, wish that I was living in Florida or Houston.
terichris, I love those too, I know that they can grow up to 10ft.or taller. My mom used to just break the branches off, stick them in the ground and they would take off, but that does not work for me.
Here is another foliage plant that did good in the greenhouse this winter and is realy taking off.
Jamacian croton
Rita- Take her up on it1 The leaves are as big as my hand. It adds so much to the look of the bed. I think I just stuck it in the ground like your mom. I remember the stem felt like styrofoam & I didn't think it was going to make it then it just exploded! Might be my new favorite.
Dutchlady, thank you for your generous offer. I had bought one at Lowes' last fall and it's taking off with all the hot weather we are having. I hope that we get some rain today because we are having a very dry spring. Last year at this time, my plants were twice as big.
I came in to post a picture of my sweet spot in the garden today.
I have a yellow plumeria blooming, 10 red hibiscus flowers, Nong Noch Vine and a pink plumeria in the picture.
I love the Nong Noch Vine. Never seen them before. Always learning something new on this website. Added it to my wish list.... LOL!
Love that Nong noch vine too. I saw one at Waynes last week..where oh were to put another vine? Sounds very Thai..Nong noch
Yes. I thought it sounded very asian too.
Podster, yes it is Hoya pachyclada white & Red.
Beautiful flowers everyone.
sunshinesw, very cool hoya picture.
gessiegail, your bleeding heart vine is in full bloom and very lovely, those were the only blooms on mine. In one of Rj previous pictures, I saw his red bleeding heart blooming too.
That hibiscus is a keeper.
podster, very nice pictures, remember to keep us updated on your gloriosa lilly bloom.
Thanks, placencerita. I am going to the hibiscus forum and see if I can get a name for the hibiscus tree.
Podster, I'm so jealous. My GL is growing but no buds yet.
They go from zero to sixty quickly. Stand back! LOL
