Here's a brand new thread, for all your wonderful pics and weather news.
Today has been a wonderful sunny day and we went to the house to clean again. The poppies were more this time and the field was awesome!
Hugs,
Adina
Weather: May Daily Weather 2008 III,....Brings May Flowers
WOW! Love it!
Is that a coneflower I see, too?
What a pretty shade of purple.
Wow! You have California poppies! Will there be flowers (of any kind) in the field all summer? Will the field stay green all summer?
We actually got 0.1 inches of rain this morning.

Thanks for the new thread, Adina. Great photos! Does it make you want to go running through the field barefooted dressed in a white sundress? LOL (We have tv commercials over here that show a girl doing that.) I always wondered what chamomile looked like. I never knew it was a type of coneflower.
Your flowers are very pretty, too, Celia.
congratulations on your "rain", Kelli!
It is very "muggy" here today--yuck! It was thundering and threatening rain a few minutes ago but has stopped now. Currently 80º and humid.
Petunias, pansies and "friend"
So glad tou opened a new therad.
Got rain.
Working 12 hrs for next 2 weeks.
Sidney
Sunny, 75°
Dusky, humid, probably in the 70s. Hard storms this morning but no damage or floods.
Nope, you can't see him. Shucks.
I think Sidney meant 12 hour days. ;-)
Yes, thanks Marylyn. I did mean 12 hour nights until June 5th or so.
Your pictures remind me of the Southwest dry, crisp, beauty.
I remember well the smell of Russian Olives when crossing the Rio Grande in Albuquerque. I believe it was this time of year.
I am so grateful for this job.
Am just bushed though, so just know I do enjoy all the post and usually get the trivia right tho the answer may appear before I reply.
Nice rain again last night.
My job is 6 miles from my house.
Weeds and plants are leaping.
I may have to invite everyone I know to a planting party.
Got to get some shut eye.
;)
Sidney, get some rest!
Nice shot of the bird feeder with friend, Celia--especially with the shadow on the fence. Too bad the hummer didn't show up in the buckthorn photo.
LOL about the 12 hours of work for the next 2 weeks!
We had a nice evening yesterday: The sun came out, clouds left and also the humidity. There was a cool breeze--we sat on the back porch for a while. It was very pleasant.

Mrasue, I forgot to tell you how i love your bedflower and the friend, also the rose, so beautiful!
Kwanjin, the visitor is so cute!
Kelli, yes , the grass usually stays green all summer and many more flowers to come!
TF, wonderful catus blooms!
Ric, thanks, that is amasing!
Heat again today, almost 80, sunny, rain in the afternoon.
The clouds were looking like this.
Adina
TamaraFaye, I think that your cactus is some kind of coryphanta.
Last weekend we had August weather. This weekend we have February weather. I guess that averages out to May weather.

HA! Feels like 75º in the sun! We've been out all day planting this, clearing that. We got the area cleared for the two evergreens. I have marigolds and foxglove in, as well.
The doggies are certainly looking intently at something, Adina!
TF: your cacti certainly have some pretty blooms but the plants could certainly cause some major damage if you got too close!
Celia: that bird on the bottom right looks like a house finch--is it? Your flower beds are coming right along. Love the Golden Showers blossom. I have a climbing GS but it has already bloomed and probably won't bloom again for a few days or weeks. It's just a little bush. I love all your succulents. I recognize the burro's tail but that is all I know.
It's hot here--currently 90º and somewhat cloudy. Also, getting more humid.
more petunias along the driveway
Is Sharon gone to AK already?
I'm running thru to get to work.
;)
I don't think she is going to AK until July. Don't know for sure, though.
They are house finches. That's usually all we get there. The goldfinches come and go and they're hard to get pics of. The niger feeder is still inside. No seed yet for it.
Hot and humid today. No rain supposedly til tomorrow.
Kwangin - don't you just love those little succulents. Bet they grow much better for you, than here is grey Pa./
Marsue, you have such neat beds. Stay Safe!!
Today was one of those 'perfect holiday weekend days'. Sunshine, 75 degrees, light breeze and sunshine. Did I mention sunshine? And tomorrow is supposed to be a repeat performance.
We have been having rainy Saturday, Sunday and Monday weekends for the past 6 weeks. This weekend is an exception.
Kelli, that is cool, thanks for the ID. We just dig them up before we occasionally mow where the chickens range. and move them to a riased bed cactus garden. wish i could find one with red, but don't think i have ever seen a red one around here ever, and lived here a LONG time...
Marsue, they are up where nobody will step on/in them! i had that happen the very first time i walked on this property, stepped right on a prickly pear! i was warned LOL
the goats and fowl go up into the bed and find goodies. but looks like i still get to weed it.
our weather here turned terrible. storms, tornadoes, hail rain, mostly VERY damamging winds. going out now to assess....
tf
yippee! great shot of the elusive hummer!
well, we didn't sustain damage that i can see, but Amarillo got 78 mile an hour winds!
i took lots of shots, will go through them tomorrow and see if i got anything good. had no idea what it takes to try and catch lightning LOL
