Did the papaya plant from last year have good fruit?

I saved some seeds and have 8 plants . I am gonna plant them.
Does anyone remember if the poster 's fruit turned out OK? All I can remember is it was in the Charlotte area.

I read on the Fla. forum that you need to start those inside in the fall. Plant them outside when it gets warm enough and you will get ripe papaya. At least that's how they do it in Northern Fla.

I have a papaya and it bloomed last summer but never fruited. Since then I have learned that it needs a mate. I am not sure if I have a guy or a girl but whatever, it isn't enough. LOL

Incidently, it is blooming again right now. We need to start a Papaya Lonely Hearts Club and maybe we could have babies.

Yelp loney hearts club but I have 12 plants peaking their heads up right now so I hope I have both sexes if it needs a mate.LOL
Someone on this Carolina forum was growing one. I can't seem to find it but I will do a search gotta be somewhere.
