Unknown canna blooming today. Please help identify if you know what it may be.

Deal.....I've got several bunches that I'll be thinning after this season. I already did some this spring, then re-planted some, and gave the rest to my neighbor.

I usually leave them in ground until early spring, then thin. Is that what you do?

That's about what I do. I traded some though and I just cut off the leaves and mailed the tubers.

I love cannas,but I'm new to their care. After the plant blooms, and you just have the dry looking end left,what do you do? Deadhead it or will new blooms push it out of the way?All of yours look so beatiful.

I just leave them alone and sometimes new bloom push out.

The Canna in the picture, if it's a dwarf one (not taller than 2') is Tropical Rose.

No, they can get like 6' tall.
