Creeping groundcover of sorts

Charlevoix, MI(Zone 4b)

I found this growing near and then up a tree in the woods bordering my house. I kind of like it, but if it's invasive, I'll get rid of it. I'm already battling Virginia Creeper, Japanese Honeysuckle and bindweed . I hope it's not invasive, I'd like to move it to a "dead" spot under my pines!!

MsKatt/Michelle:

Please destroy this now, before you have another "lifer" to battle. This is Euonymus fortunei (purple wintercreeper euonymus) and it will never go away once you invite it to stay.

Poison ivy is friendlier.

Cincinnati, OH(Zone 6a)

I have been trying to eradicate this in my yard for the past eight years. In Cincinnati it is gradually taking over many of our urban natural areas. I have seen it trained into a shrub and though yours may look innocent now, I have seen it engulf 70 foot trees. To my mind it's pure evil! I'll take the Virginia Creeper any time.
