I have expanded a little, have not had much time to play. this is the new area.
No just added to what was there. LOL
DH will fit the corners of the rail to make it join better.
Update on Woodland
These will be additions. they are to cool.
One of my coworkers is moving, and she was collecting them and wanted a new home for them, I had showed her Pics of my yard and she wanted to give them to me. they are the cutest bird houses you have ever seen. there are 6 of them.
This is the first.
The Tiki Bar.
Too much fun!!!! And your woodland garden is getting more beautiful by the day - nice work, Tills!
What creativity went into those bird houses! Very good find for you Tilly. Those will enchant many onlookers for years to come. I bet the craftsman enjoyed putting them all together too.
Love the woodland bed Tills. I'm keeping you in mind for a stray trillium that would fit right in. I think too late to dig now, but I'll keep you in mind for next spring.
Annie - the pacific iris you gave me are doing wonderfully, didn't miss a beat. I had thought to divide them a little more before I put the clumps in, but it would have taken an act of magic to split them up, I think. LOL Thank you!!
Glad they're growing for you Kathy. Tough to split, that's for sure!
Mary,
Woodland is looking wonderful! What darling birdhouses too.
Cutsie Wootsie Tils. You just get all of the cool stuff for your garden.
I had a scare today, Lucky I came home early, had a early shift today. All my Babies where dieing for a water. went out and soaked them good, all Ok now, poor things.
Annie, please keep me in mind, I bought one from Heidi, and the wind snapped one of the stems. Now I am doctor mom, Hopefully save it a little tape and a little support stick, all is well.
Thank you Rach, Annie and Pix. for the plants. and the, Go girl which I have needed, And those that have not seen this tread yet. I could make a list, but you know who you are.
And to Steve, So Wootsie Tils, I like that LOL
Tiger Eyes is in this setting. Still waiting for leaves. Can you find it.

Oh, Tils, you too? That's too bad. One of mine got broken, too. I think it was "squirrelled"-it was tucked pretty far back for wind, I think...
Cute birdhouse collection, too! :)
What I did seems to have worked, it still looks good. crossing fingers LOL
I can't see worth beans. Where is the Tiger's Eye in Tilly's picture and what IS Tiger's Eye?
Regarding the trillium, I am happily on the hunt for them every April. This is the first year I haven't done my bushwhacking- treacherous-trillium-foray into the woods because May just happened too fast.
I do want to know how they multiply. Serendipity, spread seeds or buried bulbs seem to yield new ones every spring, in places I would surely have seen them before, but haven't. Do birds drop seeds? Do buried bulbs respond to shifting landscapes and finally emerge with growth with new light or moisture exposure? I don't know, but I'm always happy to see them. Except the 'red' one I paid dearly for at the NW Flower and Garden Show that looks pretty much white to me LOL!
Rhus typhina - Staghorn Sumac. Tiger's Eye is the patent trademark name, I think. it's a cool (hot, really) chartreuse in the summer.

Annie, see the stick. with the poor sicilia laying on the ground around it.
I dug some of the bulbs up, they weren't doing well where they where, I thought it would look good for next year, Then he wouldn't look so bad as a stick in the ground. LOL
Steve, it is starting to show the velvet, and the noles are geting bigger. I have been watching it like a hawk, waiting for my stick to be this beautiful bush. Its almost like watching a pot of water that never boils until you turn your back. guess I need to stop watching. LOL
This is why I pick the spot for it, I can enjoy it all the time. I hope you can see it ^_^
Tills, now I DO see the stick with the greenery bowing down at its feet. Never mind that the bulbs are tired transplants, they'll be back. The stick is pretty darn nice looking with a hint of reddish and promise of a future!
Thanks for the ID Kathy. Chartreuse sounds wonderful and I love the red/autumn tones of sumac too. I worked one summer for the DNR in college and learned to make Sumac tea or iced Sumac Ade. The flowers (or whatever the correct term is for the fuzzy red blooms) are lemony, acidic in taste. A regular Euell Gibbons was my supervisor.
I love anything that's chartreuse . . . LOL
I never knew you could make tea from them, MMM sounds cool, for a day like today. but mostly weired. was really warm when I left home for work, blue skies them around 4ish overcast or very hazy, temp droped a bit and turn mugy.
My lilys (not the day) are not doing well this year. have one that is super huge and the others look frail or didnt come back, I think the huge one ate them. LOL
Gosh, how did I miss out on this thread!!? (WEll, umm, you have to remember to look for things that don't come up automatically on your reminder - gee, who would have guessed there were threads that I have not put in my 2 cents!)
Tils, this is looking wonderful - and the cuppa tea spot!!!!
And just waiting for you to join me. ^_^
Nite Nite
Hugs
